About Us

The Department of Mathematical Analysis and Differential Equations was formed as a result of the merger of two departments of the corresponding profiles in 2018.

The Department of Mathematical Analysis was founded simultaneously with the university and is one of the oldest. Many faculty departments were formed from it. At different times, the department was headed by:

F.I.Shmidov (before 1972);

Bekarevich A.N. (1972-1977);

Rovba E.A. (1977-1978);

Brui I.N. (1978-1989);

Mukhin V.V. (1989-1994);

Uss A.T. (1994-1995);

Malinkovsky Yu.V. (1996-2008)

A.R. Mirotin (2008-2018).

The Department of Differential Equations was founded in 1972. Associate professor A. A. Yushchenko played an important role in its formation. The scientific work of the department was closely related to the qualitative theory of the reflective function. At different times, the department was headed by:

Baris Y.S. (1972-1974)

Filiptsov V.F. (1974-1975)

Mironenko V.I. (1975-2010)

Starovoitov A.P. (2010-2018).

The Department of Mathematical Analysis and Differential Equations, in addition to the disciplines of mathematical and functional analysis, should now provide courses in differential equations, mathematical physics and theoretical mechanics.

The structure of the scientific topics of the department has also changed. Now the department conducts both research on functional analysis and the theory of approximations of functions, and research on the qualitative theory of differential equations associated with the search for symmetries.

Currently, there are 12 employees at the department, of whom 3 (Mirotin A.R., Starovoitov A.P., Mironenko V.I.) as a professor, 3 (Atvinovskiy A.A., Kazimirov G .N., Mironenko V.V.), as a senior teacher - 4 (Parukevich I.V., Kulbakova Zh.N., Belokursky M.S., Ryabchenko N.V.).

Out of 10 teachers, 7 people have academic degrees, which is 70% of the faculty of the department. From among the teachers working at the department, 2 doctors of physical and mathematical sciences (Mirotin A.R., Starovoitov A.P.), 5 candidates of physical and mathematical sciences (Kazimirov G.N., Mironenko V.V., Atvinovskiy A. A., Belokursky M.S.).
